Seven directors. Three counties. One company.
BrokenCrow is a place where six artistic directors come to play, learn and collaborate. We are writers, designers, performers and stage directors. BrokenCrow is a place for us to support and challenge each other. It is a place for new ideas to be nurtured, developed. It is an ambitious production company fueled by the joy and possibilities of collaboration.
We aim to create work that is not only as diverse as our members but professional, audience focused and creatively ambitious.
BrokenCrow Theatre Company is Deirdre Dwyer, Ronan FitzGibbon, George Hanover, Gavin McEntee, Rosie O’Regan and Aideen Wylde. We have staged eleven productions since being established in 2011 and have plenty more on the way. We have directors based in Cork, Waterford, Limerick and Dublin. We are very grateful to TDC Corcadorca, Graffiti, Spraoi, Rough Magic, the Everyman, Garter Lane, A Little Room TDC and Fringe Lab for their continued support.
BrokenCrow, in association with Garter Lane Arts Centre and the Everyman are delighted to present this new audio adaptation of The Snow Queen by Deirdre Dwyer.
This eight part serial audio drama will be accompanied by a package of illustrated cards, posted to your home. One card for every episode, to be opened on the appointed day, features a message from the characters. The opening of the sealed cards will add another beautiful dimension to the listening adventure.
The show is specially made for children from 8 years and up, featuring the voices of Aideen Wylde, Nicholas Kavanagh and Jacqui Kelleher and introducing two children, Mia Clifford and Fionn Butler as Gráinne and Caoimhín. Original music for the series will be composed and created by Anthony O’Dwyer.
